Educational Qualification for Income Tax Recruitment
To apply for various posts in Income Tax Department, it is very important for the candidate to have the following qualifications:-
- For the posts of Stenographer in the recruitment, the candidate should have passed class 10th and 12th.
- For the post of Multi Tasking Staff, the candidate should be a graduate from any university.

Age Limit for Income Tax Recruitment
To join the Income Tax Department recruitment, it is mandatory to fulfill the following age limit :-
- The age limit of the candidate for the post of Multi Tasking Staff in the recruitment has been kept minimum 18 and maximum 25 years.
- Along with this, the minimum age limit for the posts of Stenographer and Tax Assistant has been kept at 18 and the maximum age limit at 25 years.
- The age limit is relaxed up to 5 years for General and OBC category candidates.
- There is a provision of relaxation of up to 10 years for SC, ST and other reserved category candidates.

Selection Process for Income Tax Recruitment

Apart from this, the minimum salary for the posts of Stenographer and Tax Assistant has been fixed at Rs 25500 and the maximum salary at Rs 81000.
